Nidderdale Museum Society provides a valued service for the whole area, in collecting and displaying a wide variety of items concerned with the history of Nidderdale. The Museum, in Pateley Bridge, has 12 rooms full of items such as children's games, costumes, war items, farming implements, old bicycles, cobblers and joiners workshops, an old schoolroom and shop and much more.
It is run entirely by volunteers, who lovingly care for the items, and open up the Museum every day over the summer and at weekends in the winter. There is a small entrance fee, but accompanied children are admitted free of charge.
We need your help so we can continue to open the Museum and to carry on improving it and adding new features. Closure in Spring 2020 because of the Coronavirus Pandemic means that our income is depleted, and the longer this carries on, the more money we will be losing. Now would be an excellent time to show your support of the Museum by buying a lottery ticket - and you might even win some money!
Thank you for your support and good luck!
