Happy 1st Birthday THE LOCAL LOTTO for the Harrogate District

On Monday 1st July 2019 we celebrated the first anniversary of THE LOCAL LOTTO for the Harrogate District. In the inspiring setting of Ripon Cathedral and in front of the Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, the Mayor of Harrogate, the Deputy Mayor of Boroughbridge and the Mayor of Pateley Bridge, Dean John welcomed more than 50 guests to celebrate the first anniversary of THE LOCAL LOTTO and the opening of THE LOCAL FUND for the Harrogate District small grants scheme.

We wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported THE LOCAL LOTTO for the Harrogate District over the last 12 months.

Since the launch to good causes in June 2018 and the first draw in September 2018 we have;

Signed up 80 Harrogate District community groups and charities that have decided to use THE LOCAL LOTTO to generate a monthly income  https://www.thelocallotto.co.uk/support/find-a-good-cause

  
Good causes signed up to the LOTTO collectively have received just over £38,000 since the first draw
 

£15,000 has been generated for THE LOCAL FUND (the community pot) through the 10p contributions from every ticket sold and through choosing to directly support the fund. THE LOCAL FUND is now open for applications to award grants of between £200 and £3000 to local charitable organisations in the Harrogate District. If all the existing supporters continue to play we will be generating over £50,000 additional income annually for local groups across the district
 

We have 949 players - who will be the 1000th?!!!
 

Since September we have had 1,433 winners of either a cash prize or 3 free tickets
 

The highest cash prize won has been £2,000. This has been won twice

It would be great if we could support more local charities and community groups over the next 12 months and hit £100,000 in 2020!!
