Saving Yorkshire's Dogs: rescuing and rehabilitating dogs in need

28 September 2023

At THE LOCAL LOTTO, we believe in empowering local causes that make a real difference within our community. Today, we're thrilled to spotlight Saving Yorkshire’s Dogs, a local independent rescue right here in our beautiful Harrogate area, on a mission to rewrite the stories of dogs in desperate situations.

From providing rehabilitation, much needed vet care and support for all rescued dogs, Saving Yorkshire's Dogs’s mission extends to supporting owners in need, whether they've lost a pet or require a companion. And with your help, they can do even more!

How THE LOCAL LOTTO makes a difference

Thanks to your support, THE LOCAL LOTTO has played a crucial role in raising awareness for this fantastic cause. By participating, you're helping them in ways you might not even realise.

Your support in action

Through your generosity, we've raised an incredible £654 for Saving Yorkshire's Dogs. This money has already supported seven dogs in their journey towards a better life.

Where the funds go

These funds go directly to essentials like special diets, treatment, behavior training, vet assessments, and medical care. They also support special needs dogs, giving them the chance to a better future.

Making miracles happen

Meet Bertha, the St. Bernard, whose life was once limited by bone issues and an improper diet. Today, she's a bouncing beauty, living her best life with her loving family.

Baby Stitch, the resilient Italian greyhound, overcame multiple fractures and amputations. With your help, he now enjoys every moment to the fullest.

Your continued impact

Surrendering a beloved pet is never easy. But your participation in THE LOCAL LOTTO makes these stories of hope possible. You're an integral part of this compassionate community.

The community lottery has helped a lot with raising awareness of our dog rescue efforts and what is involved in running our organisation. The funds we have raised through the community lottery have supported at least seven dogs in their initial vaccinations programme and the start of their new life.” Margaret Allison, trustee at Saving Yorkshire’s Dogs Harrogate area.
